Fall is turning colorful

Today we noted that the sumac is at it's peak of color. Many of the red maples are at what I think is peak, bright red, not wilted, a tad bit of green still showing under that red coat.  Found in our yard today:

Above, the seeds of a pink star magnolia, some still plump, some already dry.




Close up of the burning bush, where I discovered berries.  Who knew??




One of my hydrangeas, muted fall colors.




Marigolds, always, ALWAYS, look their best in the cool weather of fall.

You really never saw the berries on burning bushes before?? The birds love 'em!
