McMinnville Oregon, Old But Nice :: THE Trip, THE Encore'

Copyright 2015, CABS for Reflections From the Fence

June 22, 2013, about TWO years ago, remember, we are NOT in Oregon today.

After a couple of days of fixemup for our gal Tana, we went downtown McMinneville.  I am sure it had something to do with lunch, eh??  Then, we walked up and down the streets a bit.  What a pretty little downtown and so full of interesting stuff, including, but, not limited to some very old buildings.

And, some very pretty flowers:

I love old advertisements painted on old brick buildings.

The local newspaper, the News Register, since 1866.  Gotta love it!

This is a first.  Discouraging cruising I guess.

Now, I am fully aware that this photo is just, well, crummy, but, I so wanted you to see this 1901 Locomobile, or at least the sign!  Reportedly the first car to cross the mountains to Tillamook, on July 3, 1904.  Me thinks they needed some Tillamook ice cream to celebrate the 4th of July - - just sayin - -

In a couple of days we will visit the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum.  And, I got to walk into the Spruce Goose. The best part, is that we had NO idea it was here, where Tana brought us (needing that little special beauty treatment and all).  Yipee.
